Curricular - International Baccalaureate

International Baccalaureate

TRAC is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School authorised to offer, the Diploma Programme.  The IBDP is for students aged 16 to 19. It is a demanding two year curriculum leading to final external examinations and a qualification that is welcomed by leading universities around the world. The IB does not own or administer any of the schools that employ its world renowned education programmes. TRAC will work in partnership with the IB to share in the commitment to providing your child with the highest level of international education.

IB Mission Statement

The IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end, the IB works with schools, governments and international organisations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Background

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) was founded in 1968 as an independent, not-for-profit educational foundation. Its original purpose was to facilitate the movement of students internationally, by providing schools with a senior secondary school Diploma that would be recognised by universities around the world. Since then, its mission has expanded, and it now provides an internationally-recognised education that is available to students of all ages, throughout the world.
