Vocational Education and Training (VET):

At The Riverina Anglican College, we provide students with a diverse range of Vocational Education and Training pathways. VET provides students with workplace skills and technical knowledge. It emphasises hands-on experience, and teaches many skills in demand in NSW. VET courses are practical and skills-based, and many study areas include work placements or workplace-based learning. Each VET qualification can be a first step towards a new job or a new skill, or a pathway to further study. At The Riverina Anglican College we offer the following VET courses:

Stage 5:
Workplace Skills
Certificate I in Workplace Skills: BSB10120


This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have not yet entered the workforce, and are developing the necessary skills in preparation for work. They may undertake a variety of simple tasks under close supervision. This qualification provides a range of introductory skills and knowledge to provide individuals with an understanding of the business environment.

Stage 6:
Business Services
Certificate III in Business: BSB 30120


This course is designed for students who want to learn about different software applications, safety, workplace communication, sustainable work practices and the application of critically thinking skills. Upon completion of this qualification, candidates may work in a range of business related areas Further training can involve a traineeship or or further studies at TAFE, University or other training providers.

Construction
Certificate II Construction Pathways & Statement of Attainment (SOA) Cert II in Construction


This course provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry with the exception of plumbing. This Certificate II is designed to introduce learners to the construction industry and provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship. The qualification has core units of competency that are required in most Construction Certificate III qualifications. Further training can involve an apprenticeship or further studies at TAFE, University or other training providers.

Manufacturing and Engineering Introduction
MEM10119 Certificate I in Engineering and Statement of Attainment (SOA) towards MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways

This course is designed for students who want the learn about the competencies to work at the basic production operator level in manufacturing, engineering and related industry areas. After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake MEM20105 Certificate II in Metal and Engineering. Further training can involve a traineeship or further studies at TAFE, University or other training providers.
